> Mateo likes to push his body up (like doing a push-up) whenever he is lying down on my chest or Ramil’s chest. He likes to be able to look at the face of the person holding him.
> One way of making him sleep is to let him drink milk. Unfortunately, if we’re having difficulty making him sleep we end up feeding him a lot. We’ve thought of giving him a pacifier more than once already.
> When he is at that point where he is almost asleep (half awake, half asleep) he smiles a lot and makes a lot of facial expressions.
> Lately, he is awake from around 11pm to 3am (poor us) and gets bored just lying in his crib. He would cry until one of us picks him up.
> When I was pregnant, I used to listen to a Mozart cd a lot. The cd never left our car cd player, Ramil gets irritated with the music with the number of times he has heard it already. Now, whenever Mateo hears the music in that cd he gets quiet and we can tell that he is listening (maybe recognizing it?).
> Mateo didn’t use to be a loud crier during his first 2 weeks or so. Now, he cries really hard and loud especially when he is hungery. What used to be mere whimpers are now shouts of demand. I think our son is developing a temper, LOL.
> We call him a lot of names. I would sometimes call him ‘batchoy’. Ramil would sometimes call him ‘PG’ (for patay gutom, LOL) and ‘baboy’. We really should remind ourselves to stop doing this. Mateo seems to be getting fatter and fatter (the reason for ‘batchoy’ and ‘baboy’) and seems to really DIVE for the nipple (whether bottle or mine) when he is very hungry.
> Mateo likes to ‘talk’ when he is drinking him milk. He makes this uhmm sounds even when the nipple is inside his mouth.
> He wakes up every 2 hours like clockwork. Sometimes less if he gets disturbed while sleeping but so far, never longer. In effect, I’ve never slept longer also since I gave birth 
I am very eager to note other things about Mateo that I have yet to discover and he has yet to develop. Maybe I should keep a separate journal for that.
hay naku mga babies talaga! sa umpisa talaga kung kelan natutulog na ang lahat dun sila gising. pero eventually makakapagadjust din si mateo dun sa time natin. sabi ng iba hayaan daw minsan umiyak minsan sa araw para masanay na sa araw gising at sa gabi mahaba ang tulog. kakatuwa si mateo parang si dwyn dati, talagang biglang didilat pag napapapikit na para tingnan kung sino may buhat sa kanya at kung buhat-buhat pa siya. cute talaga ng babies. at buti mataba si mateo, si dwyn dati sobrang payat kakaawa nga eh. at least si mateo taba na agad.
