what?! another blog?!
Nope, it's not just according to Ramil or to me but Mommy Chi seems to think that I am a…

Thanks Mommy Chi!!!
So this got me thinking… what makes me a rockin' girl blogger? Well, I'm a rockin' mama with a rockin' husband and a rockin' baby. We rock! LOL.
This cool idea was started by Roberta Ferguson and is rocking the female blogging world as of late. As a rockin' girl blogger, I get the opportunity to nominate five other rockin' girl bloggers. Here we go ladies…
Jeng – Because she's my bestfriend. Whoever has a rockin' girl blogger for a bestfriend must be one herself
Seriously, her mouth-watering blog shows her rockin' love for life. I also admire her courage for going for what she wants and refusing to fit into other people's expectations of her. I've said this many times already but I'm saying it again, you have my support bespren!
You rock!
Mai – Who is soon going to be a rockin' mama too!
We got to know each other through w@w while preparing for our respective weddings which happened to have the same date. I guess rockin' girls run the same rockin' wavelength. Then amidst the bloghopping and exchange of emails, I was surprised to find out that her then-husband-to-be is a former gradeschool schoolmate. Small world.
Litzie – She is one helluva mama. She's one of those who went through a lot during her pregnancy and I admire how she was able to cope with it and still appreciate everything. I'm sure Dustin is all worth it
Jean – She's one of those who keeps a very entertaining blog despite her tendency to keep things long
Not to mention that I envy her vast travel experiences – one of my frustrations in life. She's one of those who exudes her realness in her posts.
Hannah – Another admirable mommy! She was a schoolmate from highschool but we never really go to know each other during our four years of stay there. Recently though, we connected with each other through our respective blogs and found ourselves having a lot to talk about since we're both mommies already. I guess there's just this kinship among mommies
So there… pass it on rockin' girl bloggers
Well, I think the costs are at par with other baby studios like Blow-up Babies and The Picture Company. At Pic-A-Boo, their minimum package is 500 pesos for 3 satin prints. So what happens is the client goes in their studio and have different shots taken for around 20 minutes. Afterwards, they show the files and that's when the client chooses the prints they want to order. So you can just imagine how a parent can go overboard upon seeing 50+ cute shots of their little ones. If the total cost of the client's prints reach 4000 pesos, then they get a cd of all the shots taken. Yes, some get to reach that 4000 pesos!
Despite the indecent amount of money they charge, I've asked Ramil if we could go back before Mateo's first birthday. I think I'm turning into a stage mama. Hehe! I'm leaving you with scanned pics of Mateo's studio stint
The christmas season is almost here once again. I can't wait to start my christmas list. Not just my personal wish list but my list of gifts to give also. Ramil and I have been a bit remiss with christmas gift-giving these past two years. Last year, we were too busy saving up for Mateo's arrival to shell out some money for gifts. Two years ago, we were too busy getting married. We plan to go back to giving gifts this year.
We're thinking of some gift ideas already and found some really interesting ones. We're thinking of giving out gift baskets this year. I just hope we find enough funds for all the people we want to give gifts to. Plus, it's Mateo's first Christmas! I'm pretty sure this year is going to be very special.
Ramil and I have always shared our love for animals. Although I sometimes go eewww with some of them, I recognize every animals' importance in the whole scheme of life. HEdCen, the school where we teach, has the same stand when it comes to animals. The school itself can pass for a mini-zoo with the diversity of animals that they keep. One of the things that we teach the children is kindness to animals, whether they like the animal or not. Pretty much the same way you treat people
The school is also fortunate to have parents who are supportive of the school's endeavors in saving the environment. We have parents who are philanthropists and are sincere in helping out not just the school, but the environment as well. Last year, the school held a marathon to raise funds for the preservation of the nearby river. That activity signals the start of the school's official foray into environmental causes and the school's Earth Fund is now alive. It gives me peace of mind knowing that there are kids rowing up with the awareness for environmental issues. Back in high school, I myself joined an environmental club.
The Earth Fund, from what I understand, is very similar to the popular World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Their very familiar panda logo has been a symbol of the organization's international efforts to protect endangered species and their habitats. Let's just say that it is the school's version of WWF. This international organization has three goals: saving endangered species, protecting endangered habitats, and addressing global threats such as toxic pollution, over-fishing and climate change. These are issues that every child should be made aware of, issues that hound the planet they will be inheriting.

So I gave let him drink the prune juice, took my eyes off him for a few seconds and looked back only to be shocked that the juice is almost all gone. My mind went…"HA?". And not a drop anywhere else. So after finishing the juice, I inspected the bottle and surprise, the nipple has this slit across the top. Good thing Mateo was big enough not to get choked with the flow of the fluid coming out. That's when I thought that he's ready for a sippy cup
He loves his sippy cup now. He also loves biting on the spout to relieve his teething pains. LOL. After his solid feeding, I'd always let him drink water or juice from his sippy cup. I would just show it to him and he'd readily grab it by its handles and eagerly put the spout in his mouth. Good boy. Hehe!
Is it possible?
I used to be skeptical about online relationships, especially those that involve romantic love. My skepticism diminished as I spent more and more time online. I started forming online relationships of my own, none of them romantic. I was able to meet a lot of people online whom I now consider friends. I learned of a lot of stories wherein they found love and Mr/Ms Right in the internet.
Nowadays, dating sites are not the only option for those seriously looking for their partners in life. People looking for marriage may have their option of more than one matrimonial site. Gone are the days when the decision for matrimony is reserved for the parents. Even cultures that used to have strong inclinations towards arranged marriages have moved towards making marriages online while keeping traditional values intact. An indian matrimonial site is just one of these. Specific sites like these keep online dating realistic. It makes sure that you will find a person that would have a better chance of a match to them.
So how about you, have you found love in the internet? Share your thoughts on online relationships.
I've always wanted to be a hands-on mama. As young as high school, I would mull over what kind of work I could do that would still give me ample time to spend with my children. It's because of this that I initially went into teaching, I figured teaching is the kind of work that lets you do part-time. Looking back, I guess everything feel into place according to my plan and God's plan because I am now a hands-on mama and a part-time teacher.
During the first two weeks after I gave birth, we stayed with my parents to be able to adjust easily to the new addition to our family. After the second week though, despite my mama's protests, we went home, eager to try out being parents on our own. From then on, our everyday life would basically consist of Ramil going to school during the day while Mateo and I will be left to ourselves at home.
Ramil and I tried to divide the household chores between the two of us. He'd help with the laundry and cleaning when he's at home. I feel that I was trained during times when only Mateo and I are home. More than once, I've thought of how nice it would be to have some household help. A lot of times, I had to do a lot of things while holding Mateo. It would have been even nice if I had something like a Clapper Plus, it turns any appliance on or off. God knows I've had trouble managing small things like these when it was just me and Mateo.
Now everything is so relaxed at home. Ramil and I get to spend more time with each other. We are also less stressed! It's all because we have yaya Cat with us now. She is our household help whenever we're home and Mateo's yaya when we're not. She has made life so much easier for us and we will not trade her for any gadget out there
