Mateo @ 6

Well, I think the costs are at par with other baby studios like Blow-up Babies and The Picture Company. At Pic-A-Boo, their minimum package is 500 pesos for 3 satin prints. So what happens is the client goes in their studio and have different shots taken for around 20 minutes. Afterwards, they show the files and that's when the client chooses the prints they want to order. So you can just imagine how a parent can go overboard upon seeing 50+ cute shots of their little ones. If the total cost of the client's prints reach 4000 pesos, then they get a cd of all the shots taken. Yes, some get to reach that 4000 pesos!
Despite the indecent amount of money they charge, I've asked Ramil if we could go back before Mateo's first birthday. I think I'm turning into a stage mama. Hehe! I'm leaving you with scanned pics of Mateo's studio stint

i agree with your observation, those photo studios are making money because us parents go crazy over cute photos of our kids, we are the same
kahit na nga di maganda ang kuha i would have kept all the photos e, hmm.
not bad. i’ve paid 450 yata at great image for 4 shots pocket sizes (that is to have the most number of shots!).. and then when i went back to have a copy of a bigger shot, i still paid 450 even if all they did was to reprint the picture at a bigger size.. grrrr, i felt robbed!
pic-a-boo aint that bad.. because in great image, they didnt even have the costumes like your son had.
How cute! One of the reasons I want my own DSLR camera so I can control the kind of pictures that come out.
he’s so cute in that bee costume. my jenna had her first studio pic at 3 months so now i can’t wait to have gavin’s picture taken as early as possible.
cute bee picture.
i have brochures for pic-a-boo and it is really expensive but yes we mom’s wouldn’t mind the cost to have that cutie pics.
i can totally relate! we spent 5k on sandy’s photo shoot at TPC when she was 6 months old. which is why we bought our own dslr, in the end we’re saving more and we’ll get to keep all the photos.
btw, i thought mateo’s first pic was a girl. he’s so cuteee!
mateo looks adorable in all the shots Andrea! Like you we went ga-ga with Andre’s studio pics too. Kung di lang kami nagpigil our picture expense might have blown out of proportions.
Thanks for sharing them.
cute cute naman ni mateo! hihi! kakaaliw!
aww ang cute nga naman talaga ni mateo! how adorable! pwedeng pang anne geddes
they are all worth it!
thanks for being part of ‘team surfergirl!’ hahaha!
@raqgold - Ay talaga! We were set on spending for the minimum package only but upon seeing the pictures, we just had to get a few more. My mama was with us also so we had additional upgrades too
@analyse - I used to have pictures taken at great image also, even when digital cameras were unheard of. I guess studios are more inventive nowadays especially with the trend of these baby studios. It’s even more elaborate at BlowUp Babies, they have full themed set-ups and I think you have to set a schedule in advance so they can arrange it ahead of time
@pinayhekmi - Oooh, I so would love my own DSLR camera too!
It’s right on top of my wish list right now, actually. Having a baby makes taking pictures such a joy!
@Chi - Thanks!
I was actually a bit sad that I didn’t think of having Mateo’s picture taken earlier like what you did with Jenna. Oh well, there’s always the next baby (like your Gavin). Hehe!
@gail - I love the bee costume too! It can be pretty expensive that’s why we plan on really saving up for the next one.LOL
@joy - How’s TPC? My husband and I are also thinking of buying a DSLR since we love taking pictures of Mateo. But we need to save up for it big time and maybe we can look for some inventive costumes too.LOL
@Nice - Do you have Andre’s pics in your blog? Would love to look at them too. I’ll go there na…
@Dionne - Thanks!
In a few months you’ll be a proud mama too… posting pics of your baby in your blog. LOL Take care and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
@Jean - I think I wrongly replied to your comment earlier… so you might be getting an email copy of it. Ooops
Anyway, I’m a click-happy member of team surfergirl. Go,go! Hope you win that xshot
Cute, just cute, babies are a real blessing to parents, hope your baby grows up to be one of the future presidents or inventors in the Philippines, your baby is just adorable, I like babies, and I am fond of playing with them and of course making them cry, hehe, am I a little devil? hehe, could be…
cute kiddo you got there!
Thanks Daisy! Hope he stays cute until he’s not a baby anymore
@SEO Services - Thanks! Oh, I have big dreams also for my baby but in reality, I’d support him in whatever would make him happy
I have to admit that I would also sometimes tease my baby and he’d cry.LOL.
I don’t make him cry on purpose of course and he gets a lot of cuddles and kisses after
hi there! just want to say that your son have fabulous photos. Anyway, my name is Karen Jimenez, mother to an eight-month-old baby girl named Karel Czarina. I am super addicted to having her pictures taken..I’m actually a member of Blow-Up Babies. I love Mateo’s shots at Pic-A-Boo. Do you have their contact number or e-mail address? Can you send it to me. I hope we can be friends too. My e-mail address is KQJimenez@unilab.com.ph. Have a great weekend!
Hi Karen! It’s always great to make new friends
Here is Pic-A-Boo’s contact number: 442-0056. Which Blow-Up Babies branch do you go to? I’m still thinking about bringing Mateo over there because they have more elaborate set-ups. Hehe! Would you mind sharing your daughter’s pics? Thanks!
ang cute talaga!
gusto ko din ganyan si olin! ehhehehe… mainggit ba!
Ahahaha! Oo, pa-picturan mo din si Olin
hi andrea! ang cute cute ng pics ni mateo! at don sa first pic, i thought he was a girl! hehe! and just like you, we also brought lance to studio for photoshoot and we had fun too. expensive nga lang so we really need to be careful hehe! pero ang daming cute pics no! parang ang sarap kunin lahat!
Haha! Magaganda ang mga anak natin ano? It’s a shame na boys sila.LOL.
Sana pag may girls na tayo maganda din. Hehe!
Cute photos mam. I think we are the most enthusiastic photography crew out there.Stormed almost everyday by babies, families and kids plus the time pressure of 20 mins per session, you have to be blazing fast on your shots and lighting..but despite all that,we can deliver what costumers can expect..and more! hehehe.Hope to see you again @ pic-a-boo!Thanks a lot : )
Hi JM! Don’t worry, we’ll definitely go back to have my baby’s pics taken. We enjoyed his first studio experience and we plan to take fuller advantage of the next one. Hehe!
