Ramil and I have been working like dogs these past few days. Since I'm trying to de-stress myself before the start of another work week tomorrow, I won't expound on work anymore.
So anyway, I've been neglecting my blog these past few weeks. I've been keeping myself up-to-date with the blogs I often visit using Google Reader. So much as I want to comment on a post I've read or leave a message, I simply didn't have enough time. But to my blog friends… pardon me for not making my cyber presence known
I guess it's also about time that I give an update on Mateo. He turned eight months last September 15. Yay! Again, I feel like my baby is growing up way too fast. We brought him to his pedia today for his 3rd 5-in-one vaccination. He now weighs 8.7 kilograms and measures 72 centimeters. He gained only 300 grams for this month and although his pedia told me that it's normal for babies his age to experience a decrease in weight gain, I'm still a bit worried. My solution is to feed him as often and as much as I can.
The past month has also been a very active one for Mateo. He loves standing up and uses anything within reach to pull himself to standing position. He can 'walk' around in his playpen while holding on to the sides and would sometimes experiment by letting go and trying to balance himself. Several times, he has successfully stayed in a standing position for up to 5 seconds without holding onto anything. He loves saying dada and nyanya, which we've translated to mean Ramil and me, respectively. I've been coaching him to say mama and during one or two times when Ramil was carrying him, he said mmmmmaaammmmmaaa. We believe though that he's been saying them indiscriminately for now. Though I guess we won't really know for sure if he's saying them already with meaning.
I still have a lot of Mateo updates but I'm feeling sleep already from days of lack of sleep. So I guess I'll just leave you with a few of these:
