We’ve experienced being attacked before. Not by other people but by viruses and spywares. Since Ramil and I use the computer A LOT, it’s important for us to secure our laptops against such attacks. Apart from the more popular choices of anti-virus and anti-spyware softwares, ESET is also a good choice and is considered one of the best anti-virus out there. In this day and age, when most people rely so much on their computers, getting a really good computer security software is a must. You wouldn’t want to lose precious files or risk messing up your whole system, would you?

mamu in the house
I’ve already blogged about the new nanny here. Since we don’t like how she handles Mateo, Ramil and I decided to bring Mateo and the new nanny with us to school on her Monday with us. It turned out to be a wrong decision because Mateo, being unfamiliar with the person looking after him, didn’t sleep the whole time we were in school! I really felt sorry for my baby that day. That very same night, I called my mom and asked if she can stay with us for the week just so we can leave Mateo and the nanny at home with her. Good thing she agreed! When Thursday came, I hinted at my mom that maybe she’d like to come again the following week. At first, I sensed a no for an answer because she’ll be traveling for more than two hours just to get here. In the end though, after observing the new yaya with her grandson, she had no choice but to agree. Mateo loves it when she’s here. I honestly believe Mateo has never been taken care of as well as how my mom takes care of him when Ramil and I are not around. Thank you mamu!
our little young boy
These past few weeks, I’ve been so senti. I’d look at my baby and think that he’s not a baby anymore! He’s looking more and more like a little boy with each passing day.
Looking at his pictures could bring such feeling of longing for the small, dependent baby that I use to have. I’m beginning to think that I’ll turn out to be a really emotional and weepy mama on my boy’s special occasions. Dyahe!
Now, he even makes pa-cute at the camera…
Haaay, babies really grow up so fast.
christmas shopping for my baby
Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. Now that we have Mateo, I also would like him to grow up loving my favorite season. Ramil and I have been racking our brains for the perfect Christmas gift for him. I would be scouring baby shops in the next few weeks in the hopes of finding our gift for him. Most probably, we’d also be looking for his birthday gift since he’ll be celebrating his first birthday in two months. I’m sure though that I’d like to splurge on some good toys for him. He really loves playing and tinkering now and I’m sure he’d love whatever gift we give him.
movers chicago
We recently moved houses a few months ago. The move took us a whole week to pack our things and to move them little by little. I never thought that moving can be so difficult. I even had a bit of trouble looking for a moving truck we could hire. There are sites that could be a big help when moving day comes like Movers Chicago. This site offer assistance in whatever kind of move you plan to make, local or even long distance movings, be it residential or corporate moving. One service of theirs that appealed to me is their moving storage service. They let you store things that won’t fit in the place you’ll be moving into. This surely eliminates the headaches brought about by moving.
my so-called diet
For several days now, I’ve been eating rice only on breakfasts. During lunch, I’d only eat romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and carrots, together with some salad dip. During dinner, I’d eat whatever food we have but I don’t eat rice. I didn’t really plan on going on a diet but I’m enjoying eating those crunchy vegetables.
What’s great with my diet now is I don’t feel hungry at all. Maybe it’s because I don’t restrain myself from eating. In between my major meals, I eat anything I want. I haven’t checked the scales yet but my clothes feel a bit loose already and I’ve only started this so-called diet last Thursday!
Right now, I’m not sure how long I can stand this diet. Hopefully, I can make this a permanent thing.
getting that perfect make-up
I am not much of a make-up user. Basically because, I don’t feel like I look better with make-up on. Blame it on the fact that I don’t really know how to put make-up on myself. Usually, I’d just put on some face powder, a little blush, and a little gloss on my lips. Still, I have this hidden desire to learn how to expertly put on make-up. While looking for a hair and make-up artist for our wedding, I remember wishing that I have the skill to do it myself. Maybe I should consider checking out some cosmetology schools that I could enroll myself in. Who knows, I might be really good at putting on make-up, I just need to learn more about it.
save yourself from bad credit
There are a growing number of bad credit consumers out there. Sometimes a way to save yourself from bad credit are bad credit offers. If you have bad credit, it’s not permanent. There are a lot of bad credit loans you can avail to get yourself out of the bad credit trap. All you have to do is make on time payments and soon, you’ll rebuild your credit and financial future.
the yaya search is still on
The new yaya has been making efforts to be more playful and warm with Mateo. Unfortunately, I still don’t feel that they are getting along well enough. Then today, I got a call from her aunt saying that our new yaya’s husband wants her to go home because she’s pregnant! WHAT?!?! There’s just too much difficulty with this yaya that we got.
So we’re still searching for the right one. Good thing my mom agreed to stay with us for a few days so that Mateo will be well taken care of. Ever since the first yaya told us she’d be leaving, I’ve had this overwhelming desire to split myself into two. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would be able to handle everything even if I stop teaching. Mateo is just really a handful now, I wouldn’t have time for household chores if it was just him and me at home. It can really suck when you’re faced with situations that make you realize that you can’t have things the way you want them or that you can’t do everything that you want.
I just really hope we find someone soon. Someone who will take good care of Mateo, someone who will also love him. It would be a great bonus if she’d be a whiz at household chores too! Is that really too much to ask?
choosing the right cc
A few weeks ago, my credit card company called me to offer me yet another card. I told them, no thank you. Unless it has something different from what I have now. Despite our difficult experiences before with Credit Cards, I remain a fan of them. I believe that the question of whether they are good or bad can be answered by how the user utilizes them. Some cards offer a lot of benefits like 0% interest on purchases and balance transfers. Some even lets you earn or donate money to your chosen organisation everytime you use it. It’s just all about learning how to make them work for you and not the other way around.
