Here are some of the words that Mateo can now say. Some are very clear to everyone while some needs an interpreter (me!).
Duhduh – means Dada
Mama – obviously means Mama
baba – Barney
boh (with a long o) – ball
bohk (with a long o) – book
booh (with a longer o) – boat
ish – fish
deh – there
tiss – toys
pooh – Pooh (as in Winnie the Pooh)
cath (with a long a) – cat
cath (with a short a) – car
ber – bird
Dedi – our golden retriever named Ledi
Tuhta – Tita (my sister)
Maamu – Mamu (my mom)
Paapu (with a long a) – Papu (my dad)
Giigii (with long i’s) – our neighbor’s yaya
beh – bell
teh – water
dide – means he wants milk from me
