fitness and shoes

Posted on April 8, 2008

Almost 15 months after I gave birth and I still have some left over post-pregnancy tummy. Although I’m back to my old weight, I’m still dying to trim my middle area. Unfortunately, I’ve come to believe that I will never lose them unless I starve myself or I adopt a good exercise routine. Ramil and I have been talking for the longest time about running or playing badminton again. Running appeals to me since it has always been a good stress reliever for me too. Unfortunately, my rubber shoes are not good enough anymore and I’m just waiting to get some extra money so I can buy myself some good running shoes. I’ve also thought about trying yoga once more but then it might make me want to buy a nice pair of yoga shoes. Actually, for the past few days, I’ve noticed my ‘need’ to buy more shoes. Everytime I think of a physical activity, I can’t help but think of good shoes to go with it. Heck, even vegan shoes, for their ‘earth-friendliness’, appeal to me lately. I figured that the only way to satisfy my current ‘interests’ is to either buy more shoes for me or get into a fitness program that would surely lose the extra inches on my tummy. Since I don’t really have extra money for shoes, I might as well think of other ways to trim down :)

I understand the feeling. I have been wanting to get into an exercise program forever now. With working full time and 2 school age kids, and exhaustion at night, I just can’t seem to find the time. Now that the weather is getting better I will try and push myself. I agree with the shoes too, one does need a comfortable pair of shoes to exercise with.

Hi Sharon! How I’ve wished more than a few times that a day has 36 hours so mommies can do all the stuff they need and want to do :)
