school boy

After my post on Mateo’s summer school culminating activity, here’s how he’s going to look on June 17. I tried to ignore the tugs at my heart upon seeing my son in school uniform but every time I look at his picture I can’t help but ask myself where all the time has gone? He’s grown into a big boy much too soon and we’re feeling the urge to have another one these past few months. This time, it’s a real, urgent urge, haha! Not the whimsical kind of urge. We really feel that if we want Mateo and his future brother/sister to be playmates then we should be hurrying up. As of now, their minimum age gap is 3 years. Delaying it means a longer age gap. Ramil said he wanted them to at least both be in high school some time which means a maximum of 4 years gap.

So right now, I’m praying for things to fall into place. I still have a weight limit to achieve before getting pregnant, something that I’ve imposed on myself. I’m still six pounds away from that weight and it’s not a good idea to check out weight loss pill reviews to lose those extra six pounds.

We also feel very fortunate to be teachers right now. Sure, we don’t enjoy hefty paychecks like some of our friends and we guess we never will unless we decide to change careers. However, the usual damage on everyone’s pockets every June (well, at least those who have kids) is not so much felt by us. Thanks to the tuition fee perks we enjoy. Ramil and I even tried to save more by borrowing the books that Mateo is supposed to have from the library. They’re evaluation copies and new! Also, Ramil made my month earlier this week when he went home with several uniforms for Mateo, one of which is what he was wearing in the picture. It so happened that the school was getting rid of old uniform stocks and the employees were treated to some. Just when I was worrying about the budget for Mateo’s uniforms! So right now, Mateo will be going to school starting June 17 and we haven’t spent a cent. Thank you Lord! :)
