During my pregnancy with Mateo, I debunked what pregnancy sites and books say about having an easier second trimester. Although most of my second trimester was okay, it was heralded in by bouts of headaches and dizziness that beat any I have ever had.
So I guess I have no one to blame but myself when I stupidly looked forward to starting my second trimester. I should have known that although there are differences in each of the three first trimesters I’ve experienced, my body wasn’t acting unpredictably at all.
When I went home last Monday, while I was checking out http://www.quicktrimextremeburn.com for a friend, I was hit with a throbbing headache that made my head feel like it weigh tons. It only took me a few hours to realize that it’s exactly what I experienced with my first pregnancy. So I grudgingly took out my eyeglasses and wore them.
I first got my eyeglasses during the second trimester of my pregnancy with Mateo. My then-ob referred me to an ophthalmologist to check my eyesight because according to her, a woman’s eyesight can suffer during pregnancy. Her guess was correct and I had to wear them just to lessen the headaches. And wouldn’t you know it, the eyeglasses worked like magic! They’d make my head feel great every time I’d wear them. When I gave birth however, I realized that I didn’t have to wear them anymore because I don’t get the headaches anymore even without them.
There they stayed stored in my cabinet until last Monday. Unfortunately, although they helped somehow, I think the lenses have to be changed. For the next few days, I have to just wear them and hope they suffice. Not much reading and surfing for me right now. If the headaches persist then it might be time to visit the ophthalmologist once again.
