I was Mateo’s chaperone during their field trip last Friday. They were instructed to bring their field trip backpacks as early as a week before. I packed like any excited Mommy and although I was tempted to bring some electronics to keep me or Mateo busy in between destinations, I faithfully stuck to the list given by his teacher.

It was very tiring being Mateo’s field trip companion. I would have found it easier if my body wasn’t carrying additional weight and it’s not doing the extra work of making a baby. Nevertheless, my little boy enjoyed it immensely so I did too and we’re looking forward to next year’s field trip.
