bum days

These past few weeks, Ramil, Mateo, and I have been having bum days and extremely busy days. On extremely busy days, we’d often be out the whole day doing paperwork or running errands. Then we’d often have bum days where we stay at home the whole day, alternating between putting stuff into boxes and just lying down and chatting with each other.

Aside from the fact that Mateo will start go back to being away in school for 2-3 hours each day, I expect things to be more or less this way in the next few months. Ramil has applied for temporary tutoring/teaching work he might be able to do in the next few months but we’re not really looking forward to anything coming out of it since we don’t exactly know when he will have to pack his things and head off to Brunei. We just figured it won’t hurt to apply and we’ll just leave it up to God if that will be a way for us to earn in the next few months. Anyway, we’ve been doing a lot of  ’leaving it up to God’ the past few months why should we stop now? :)

We’ve also been doing humongous amounts of time in front of our laptops. Mateo has become so used to it, he now gets his own toy laptop and tells us that he’s working so that he’ll have money. Ramil and I have been getting our minds sucked dry with all the articles we’ve been writing. It’s still good though because it serves as brain exercise and we still learn a lot from all the speed reading we’ve had to do to be able to write one article. We’ve tackled a wide range of topics like bathroom fixtures, astral projection, weight loss diets, small business marketing, yeast infection, genealogy services, dog training, tattoos, cannabis, extenze reviews, and so much more. The work is very interesting most of the time except for times when we have to write five articles on a single topic. We’re not complaining though because it pays the bills while allowing us to stay home. Nevertheless, we’re looking forward to when Ramil goes off to Brunei and starts earning a salary that’s decent enough for us to realistically live on.

So we’re looking forward to more bum days in the next few months. We’re thinking that this is God’s bawi for the inevitable month-long separation we will be experiencing when Ramil leaves ahead of us and we’re intent on making the most out of it.

school ID time

Mateo will be getting his second school ID this school year. In last year’s ID he looked so small and cute. He looks bigger now but I’m guessing he’ll still look cute, hehe! It’s also during these months when a school would be getting the services of a Plastic Card Manufacturer like Eye Catchers for the many Plastic Cards that they need. I can only imagine how many school ID cards are produced every year. I plan to keep each and every one of Mateo’s IDs. It’ll be a great way to see how he has been growing.

I love cebu pacific

Ever since we decided that Ramil will accept his job offer in Brunei and that Royal Brunei Airlines’ one-way fare is around PhP12000+, I’ve been on the hunt for a cheaper alternative.

Since a roundtrip ticket would cost around PhP 24000+ with this airline, I was willing to settle for other routes. I found out that Cebu Pacific offers one-way fare from Manila to Kota Kinabalu for PhP2400+ and Air Asia offers one-way fare from Kota Kinabalu to Brunei for PhP700+. The only catch with this is that the Cebu Pacific flight won’t arrive in Kota Kinabalu in time for the Air Asia flight to Brunei which means having to take the next day’s flight. Nevertheless, a PhP3100+ flight with a need for an overnight stay in Kota Kinabalu is still so much cheaper than a PhP12000+ flight.

While doing my research, I also found out that Cebu Pacific has submitted a request to directly fly Manila-Brunei. Oh how I prayed and wished that it gets approved before anyone of use needs to leave for Brunei. With the fares that Cebu Pacific offers, I know that it’s going to be so much cheaper than RBA.

Just this morning, I received wonderful news! It seems that I don’t have to buy gold anymore to fly directly to Brunei! Cebu Pacific now has flights from Manila to Brunei starting August 21. I could barely contain my excitement this morning, I was so noisy in the library. They are even offering promo fares for their first flights until November 30: PhP 999 one-way!

This just means that even if we’re in Brunei already, we can visit our families here more often than once a year and our families could also visit us. Also, I can’t wait for the next Piso-fare promo that Cebu Pacific usually offers. Hopefully, there would be one before Mateo, Anika, and I follow Ramil to Brunei.
